Description

Premium Poplar Thermally Modified Siding is durable for 25 years due to the thermo-treatment process. Unlike pressure treatment, our Poplar Siding is a 100% Green product. The equilibrium moisture content (EMC) is reduced to 4%. The thermo-treatment changes the color of the wood to a brown tint that is consistent beyond the surface.

Premium Thermally Modified Poplar SIDING is a natural wood material with an attractive look and natural durability. Due to the thermo-modification process, wood becomes durable for at least 25 years. In the process, wood changes its molecular structure and becomes similar to 350-year lumber. It is a 100% Green product with all the advantages of natural wood.

Versus pressure-treated softwoods: Thermo Poplar Siding is a 100% “Green” product that won’t crack, shrink, or swell like pressure-treated lumber. Over its lifespan, it costs 3-4 times less.

Versus exotic woods: Thermo Poplar Siding is significantly lighter, more dimensionally stable, and easier to work with.

Versus composite, plastic, and fiber cement: Thermo Poplar Siding doesn’t overheat under sunlight, and it is real wood.

Versus other thermo-poplar sidings on the market: Our Poplar Siding comes factory-oiled on all four sides, in lengths from 6′ and 12′, and offers consistent color in two tomes – light and dark.

Fantastic room makeover

I’ve never done a project like this before, but after reviewing the installation guide and videos, I was confident enough to tackle 2 walls in my dining area. Once I got the 1st few rows done the install was quick. I found ways to stagger the joints, minimize cuts and randomize colors. What all started this project was a need to display my expanding bourbon collection. I found a craftsman to make shelves that would fit the space and keep a color scheme that would work with the wood. With some heavy anchors installed the shelves went up and the bottles on display. Couldn’t be happier with how this all turned out.

What A Difference!

I spent a few months researching what barn wood company I would go with before I decided to go with Lumberpoint. From the moment I made my order to receiving it, and then the installation (I had a professional do it) it was all AMAZING! Lumberpoint is everything and more that you are looking for to really be the focal point of your house. The product is far superior than anything that you could ever buy from a big box retailer. Another key feature of Lumberpoint is the depth of their boards. They’re not super thick like many other reclaimed woods which is super beneficial, especially in our case, because their product does not close your space at all. What a fantastic edition to our family room. Just completes the look in this old (1949) room. Rustic, yes it is … living in Alaska by the ocean.
